The Bhagyadhenu Story
Bhagyadhenu Industries was founded in Mhasla, Maharashtra in 1999 — at the foot of the laterite hills that have defined the region's architecture for centuries. What began as a small quarrying operation has grown into one of Maharashtra's most trusted suppliers of premium laterite stone cladding.
The name Bhagyadhenu — meaning 'the cow of fortune' in Sanskrit — reflects our founding philosophy: that the earth provides, and it is our responsibility to take from it with care, skill, and gratitude. That philosophy has guided every decision we have made over the past 25 years.
Today, our stone graces the walls of luxury villas, bungalows, and commercial buildings across India — including projects by Lodha, one of India's most prestigious developers. We supply architects, contractors, and homeowners who demand the authentic character of Mhasla laterite, not an imitation.

We extract stone with care for the land, the community, and future generations. Our quarrying practices are ISO certified and designed to minimise environmental impact.
Original Mhasla
We quarry only from Mhasla — the original source of Maharashtra's finest laterite. We do not source from other regions or blend grades. What you receive is authentic.
Technical Integrity
Our Ultra Premium grade is silicon-content certified. We provide technical documentation on request. We do not make claims we cannot substantiate.

The Mhasla Quarry
Mhasla sits in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, in the Sahyadri foothills. The laterite here is formed from ancient basalt, weathered over millions of years into the warm ochre and rust-red stone that characterises the Konkan coast's traditional architecture. Our quarry has been in continuous operation since 1999, and we know every seam of it.
